theologist 的词源

“精通（尤其是基督教）神学的人”，这个词最早出现在15世纪晚期，源自14世纪的古法语 theologien，而这个词又来自 theologie。可以参考 theology。其他一些变体如 theologue（15世纪早期；与希腊语 theologos “讲述神祇的人”相比较），theologist（1630年代），theologician（1550年代），theologer（1580年代）都比较少见。一个小气或微不足道的神学家被称为 theologaster（1620年代），这个词在1518年被马丁·路德在中世纪拉丁语中使用。
