boxer 的词源

“拳击手，拳击运动员”，这个词在15世纪末出现，作为动词 box（意为“拳击”）的派生名词。

这种犬种（1905年首次出现）源自德语 Boxer（该犬种起源于德国），而这个词又来自英语 boxer，意指“战斗者”；因为这种狗性格好斗，所以得名。
