ichnolite 的词源

“石头上呈现化石足迹”，这个词最早出现在1841年，来源于希腊语 ikhnos（意为“足迹、足迹”）的拉丁化形式，具体词源尚不明确，加上 -lite 后缀。1854年，Ichnite 也被用来指代同样的概念。至于 Ichnology（化石足迹的科学研究），则是在1837年被提出的。
