idealist 的词源

15世纪初，意为“与原型或模型相关”，源自晚期拉丁语 idealis，意为“存在于思想中”，进一步追溯至拉丁语 idea，在柏拉图主义中指“理念”（参见 idea）。“被构思为完美；仅存在于思想中”的含义出现在1610年代。

1796年，这个词在抽象的形而上学意义上被用来表示“现实仅由观念构成的信念”，由形容词 ideal 和后缀 -ism 组合而成。可能是受法语 idéalisme 的影响。1829年起，它被用来表示“将事物表现为理想形式的倾向”。后来又引申为“追求理想，渴望达到完美状态”（如真理、纯洁、公正等）。

在哲学领域，德国哲学家们将其进一步细化为 absolute（绝对唯心主义，黑格尔）、subjective（主观唯心主义，费希特）、objective（客观唯心主义，谢林）和 transcendental（超越唯心主义，康德）。
