mogul 的词源

“强大的人”，1670年代，来自 Great Mogul（1580年代），是欧洲人对1520年代征服后印度蒙古皇帝的常用称呼，源自波斯语和阿拉伯语 mughal, mughul，对 Mongol（参见）的变体，指的是亚洲民族。作为最高质量扑克牌的名称，1742年之前，因其背面的设计而得名。
