Asian 的词源

14世纪晚期，指“亚洲（小亚细亚）的居民”，源自拉丁语 Asianus（形容词和名词，意为“属于亚洲省份的”或“亚洲的居民”），进一步追溯至希腊语 Asianos，意为“亚洲人”，来自 Asia（参见 Asia）。在20世纪中期，它逐渐取代了 Asiatic，成为更受欢迎的称谓。
