Juliet 的词源

这个女性专有名词源自意大利语 Giulietta，是 Giulia 的 diminutive 形式，意为“朱莉亚”（参见 Julia）。与法语的 Juliette 相比较。Juliet cap（1904年）因其与舞台剧《罗密欧与朱丽叶》中假中世纪头饰的相似而得名。
