dubiety 的词源

“怀疑性、不确定性”，出现在1650年代，源自晚期拉丁语 dubietas，意为“怀疑、不确定”，进一步追溯到拉丁语 dubius，原意是“摇摆不定、犹豫不决”，引申义则是“在观点上摇摆不定、充满怀疑”（参见 dubious）。在此意义上，早期还出现过 dubiosity（1640年代）、dubiousness（1650年代）；另见 dubitation。
