phishing 的词源

“捕鱼的艺术或实践”，大约公元1300年，fysschynge，动名词形式，源自fish（动词）。1540年代起有了比喻用法。古英语中对应的名词是fiscað。

Fishing-boat（渔船）这个词出现在1732年。Fishing rod（钓鱼竿，1550年代）比fishing pole（钓鱼杆，1791年）更早。“去钓鱼”这个说法可以追溯到古英语的on fiscoð gan。

1972年起，这个词也可以作为动词使用，最初出现在phone phreak一词中，指的是一群技术高超的人，他们通过电子手段黑客攻击或欺诈当时的电话公司。

The phreaks first appeared on the US scene in the early 1960s, when a group of MIT students were found to have conducted a late night dialling experiment on the Defense Department's secret network.
