pornography 的词源

1842年，“古代淫秽画，特别是在巴克斯神庙中”，来自法语pornographie，源自希腊语pornographos“（一个）描绘妓女的人”，由graphein“书写”（参见-graphy）+ pornē“妓女”，最初意为“被购买的，已购得的”（最初可能有“为卖淫而出售的女性奴隶”的概念），与pernanai“出售”（源自PIE *perə-，变体为词根*per- (5) “交易，出售”）相关。
