rococo 的词源

1836年，意为“老式的”，源自法语 rococo（19世纪），显然是对 rocaille 的幽默变体，意指“贝壳工艺，卵石工艺”，来自 roche（岩石），源自俗拉丁语 *rocca（石头）。特别指路易十四和路易十五时期的家具或建筑，从1841年起。如果这个词源正确，那么它可能是指这种奢华风格中贝壳设计的过度使用。为了区分，可以参考 baroque。1844年起，它被用来泛指“品味低俗的华丽或繁复”。作为名词，指“洛可可风格或装饰”，最早出现在1840年。
