bones 的词源

中古英语的 bon 源自古英语的 ban，意思是“骨头、牙齿、构成骨骼的硬动物组织；骨骼的组成部分之一”。它的原始日耳曼语形式是 *bainan，与古弗里斯语和古萨克逊语的 ben、古诺尔斯语的 bein、丹麦语的 ben、德语的 Bein 同源。哥特语中没有这个词，日耳曼语以外也没有相关词汇（其共同的原始印欧词根是 *ost-）。诺尔斯语、荷兰语和德语的同源词通常指的是“腿部的骨骼”，在现代德语中这是主要含义，但英语似乎从未有过这个意思。
