training 的词源

15世纪中期，“延长，延迟”（现在已废弃的意义），动名词来自 train (v.) “拖曳在地面上”。

1540年代起被证明为“培养和指导以发展能力或技能”（参见动词的意义演变）；特别是1570年代起被证明为“军事训练”（因此有 training day，1670年代，指定用于公民 militia 的训练和检阅）。1757年起被证明为“通过结合指导与实践对某种艺术、手工艺等的实际教育”。
