Geneva 的词源

一种蒸馏饮用酒，1714年，缩写自 geneva，受瑞士城市名称的影响，从荷兰语 genever “杜松子酒”，字面意思是“杜松”（因为酒精是用其浆果调味的），来自古法语 genevre “杜松植物”（12世纪），来自俗拉丁语 *jeniperus，来自拉丁语 juniperus “杜松”（参见 juniper）。
