shemozzle 的词源

还有 schlimazel 等词，意为“天生的失败者，不幸的人”，最早出现在1948年，源自意第绪语短语 shlim mazel，意为“运气糟糕”。这个短语又来自中高德语 slim，意为“歪曲的”（参见 slim (adj.)），加上希伯来语 mazzal，意为“运气”（如在 mazel tov 中）。英国俚语 shemozzle，意为“困境” （1889年），可能也源自同样的词源。可以与 schlemiel 进行比较。
