liveware 的词源

1540年代，“有生命，不死”，是alive（参见）的缩写。从1610年代起用于火、煤等，“燃烧，发光”；1640年代用于事物、条件等，“充满活跃的力量”；“包含未耗尽的能量或力量”（live ammunition）的意义始于1799年。

“亲自，不是录制的”（指表演）的意义始于1917年。Live wire始于1890年，“电流流过的电路”；“活跃的人”的比喻意义始于1903年。幽默的real live“真实的”始于1887年。较早的形容词是lively。

到1851年，soft-wares指的是“羊毛或棉质面料”，也可以指“相对易腐烂的消费品”，这个词是由soft和ware（名词）组合而成。后来，这个词在计算机领域的使用是一个独立的创造，最早出现在1960年，基于计算机意义上的hardware。
