ten 的词源

1819年，指“十足动物，十条腿的甲壳类动物，如螃蟹、龙虾、虾”等。这一词源自法语 décapode（1806年），再往上追溯则来自现代拉丁语 Decapoda (animalia)，而其根源则是希腊语 dekapoda，是 dekapous 的中性复数形式，意为“十足的”（参见 ten + foot (n.)）。自1885年起，这个词也被用来指一种具有十个驱动轮的机车。
