anemone 的词源

这个植物属名来源于1550年代，源自法语 anemone（16世纪，从古法语 anemoine 修正而来），直接借自拉丁语 anemone，而其根源则是希腊语 anemonē，意为“风之花”，字面意思是“风的女儿”。这个词由 anemos（风）构成，和拉丁语 anima（灵魂、生命）同源，均源自原始印欧语词根 *ane-（呼吸、生命的象征），再加上女性后缀 -one。

据亚萨·格雷（Asa Gray）所说，这个名字的由来是因为人们认为这种花只有在风吹的时候才会绽放。克莱因（Klein）则提出，这个花名可能最初源自希伯来语（可以与 na'aman 进行对比，出现在 nit'e na'amanim 中，字面意思是“愉悦的植物”，出自《以赛亚书》第十七章第十节，na'em 意为“愉悦”）。
