platinum 的词源

金属元素，1812年，现代拉丁语，源自早期的 platina，来自西班牙语 platina “铂金”，是 plata “银”的 diminutive（缩小词），源自古法语 plate 或古普罗旺斯语 plata “金属片”（参见 plate (n.)）。相关词：Platiniferous。
